"If we understood it as being part of God's heart - just like we understand the other things that get our churches 'fired up' - we would see that mercy ministry is not an elective."     Tish Harrison during Hope training

HOPE's belief about people
We are not fearful or reticent of brokenness. We are all broken people, no matter our socio-economic level or ethnicity. Therefore, in humility and because of Christ’s sacrifice, we are also continually hopeful for the healing and wholeness people can experience.

And HOPE Changes Us
By giving of yourself to offer hope in
the lives of others, the door for
transformation in your own life is
opened. Expect encounters with those
who don't yet know Christ. Meet a
myriad of people in need around you. Experience expansion of your comfort
zone as you interact with a community outside your everyday circles.

And watch God use your willingness to
serve as a vehicle for His redemptive
work in you. Trust more as you
observe obstacles that cannot be
overcome by you alone. Pray bigger
because the poverty and pain you see
is great. Love deeper as you live out
Christ's command to carry the Gospel
to others and help those in need.
